Candle Centerpiece

Saw this candle centerpiece at Dorothea talk show. What I like about this arrangement is most of the flowers are of local varieties, not the fancy imported ones, but very Indonesia and mostly are garden plant, such as the flower of 'rose apple' or in Indonesia we call it as 'jambu air'.

The upper view of the centerpiece. This centerpiece is best placed on middle to large sized dining table.

close-up view

Lots of flowers used here, but don't worry many of them are garden flowers such as alstroemeria (inca lily), soka or siantan and the flower of rose apple, excluded casablanca, lily asiatic . The foliage is mini reptile split phillo, cordatum leaf or phillodendron hederaceum and the last is ....uhm, I'm not sure what this one is in English but in Indonesian it is called 'paku tanduk rusa' leaf. It's a kind of fern family.

Flower Today: Anthurium - part 1 (Shiny Red)

Among cut flowers, anthurium is flower that can last long after being cut. That's why lots of decorators use anthurium in their floral design because of its durability besides its beauty, moreover it has many color variants and doesn't cost alot.

This is anthurium plant. Anthurium can grow under the shady of big tree. There are two benefits planting anthurium, first as cut flowers and the other is as foliage. Both flower and leaf have beautiful look that are suitable for home decor.

Inspiration: Wedding Car with Teddy Bear

After busy these two weeks, finally it's valentine day. So, Happy Valentine 4 all of you, guys!!

Besides flowers and chocolates, valentine is always identical with Teddy bear doll. That's why we'll post this one. May be this will become your inspiration.

Wedding car with teddies !!! yeah, some of you might think dolls on wedding car is so oldiest, but personally I think dolls add a certain cuteness to the car. On this one, the flower base consist of kinds of artificial roses and its leaves made into rectangular shape. The floral designer made the base a bit wide and adding tulle crisscrossing the rearview mirror but since the wedding car is a sedan type so the hood of the car is wide. Mmm... quite proportional.

On close up, the wedding dolls wear gold theme clothing amidst the shocking pink roses...

There's also a flower arrangement on the back of the car, and similar to the one at front  but without the teddies. Overall the flower arrangement look a bit oval by using artificial phillo leaves.

Details of flower arrangements on rearview mirror and door handles..
