Glamorous Red theme Bridal Bouquet

While still in Pre-Easter spirit, let us view some bridal bouquet!! In case you’re planning your wedding next month, hope this can be an inspiration for you guys….

Definitely not traditional, this very unique bridal bouquet made by Mrs. Holly is not for the fainthearted. It’s mainly bold red in color, with some details such as the use of Indonesian traditional hairpiece as ornaments. Personally, I think it’s a good thing to incorporate some of this traditional element, an Indonesian touch to a bridal bouquet, instead of just a simple-can-be-found-anywhere theme. If you wear simple wedding dress, this type of bridal bouquet definitely will enhance your appearance, so let’s have a closer look.

An up-close pic on the bouquet, heliconia or bird of paradise were used as the background, then roses of Cherry Brandy placed surround it in which tri-color and yellow cordyline leaves were inserted.

Not just on the front, the backside also has details on its own ie using copper wire. And if you look it thoroughly, Mrs. Holly used the motif of batik of ‘Mega Mendung’ which is the traditional motif batik from Cirebon, West Java. To use this technique, you can view our previous post about it here.

Details of the traditional hairpiece used as ornament. Glamorous without much effort!!

Bridal Bouquet Parade (1) : The Beginning!

Looking at the title, y’all know already that this post series will be about bridal bouquet continuously J Yep, we’ll post lots of bridal bouquet pictures for your reference starting today!!! FYI, all those gorgeous bridal bouquets featured here are the creation of J Andy Djati Utomo S.Sn, AIFD, CFD since we’re reporting from his demo and workshop on October 25th, 2012 at Landmark Convention Hall, Jl. Braga 129 Bandung.

The workshop hall was still empty when I arrived, except two women in charge of the workshop. Best seat is important to get the best pics, right J? But before the exciting and exhausting workshop, we’re treated by morning tea and some snacks. The demo began at 9.17 a.m. and finished at 3 p.m.  In general, in this demo Mr. Andy made 6 bouquets and the two others by his assistants.

And here they are!!! The bouquet parade. We’ll post on them one by one. This time they’re numbered by the sequence of the post so you'd not wonder when your choice will be posted. Enough said, see ya on the next bridal bouquet post!!!!!

Wedding Bouquet Trend 5 : Bling It on!!

Don’t be shy baby… all the lights on You!!! Yes, why just a simple nondescript wedding hand bouquet? You get married only once in a lifetime !!! (if you’re lucky :D) So, this might be the one and only chance for you to shine !!!!!

Okay, for you who don’t want to stand out much… READ NO MORE, but for all of you, glam baby out there, this style is perfect for you. This stunning caged-like (which is full metal and beads) wedding bouquet in white and blue theme screams out : look at me!!!

From afar and up close, this blue wedding hand bouquet will catch all attention. And that is why this one is also our favorite! Oh, and yeah, this one is not cheap either… sorry.

They’re all the gears needed in producing the stunning effect : the strands of blue beads, light blue floral wire, indian bracelets. Yes, bracelets, lots of them - (picture above), and of course the frame for the bouquet which looks like a carrousel… the only flower used was white roses to make all the accessories stand out more. (picture below)

Started of with a simple round shaped white roses bouquet (image 1), see when the bouquet was inserted into the frame before all the accessories…. it doesn't look nice (image 2). Then decorate the frame with blue wire, bracelets and all the beads (image 3) Insert the bouquet again, and voila!!! The effect looks very different. (image 4)

To make the white roses look connected with the blue cage, a few more beads were attached on the roses by using thin floral wire… and it’s done! The image below shows how you’re supposed to hold the bouquet.

This is how the bouquet looks from upfront and underneath is the detail. Really I never thought Indian bracelets can be used as wedding hand bouquet decoration. Bravo for the decorator!!!!

BEWARE : many guests might take pics of the bouquet more than pics of you :D
