Multicolor Wedding Church Décor with Blue Ribbon

As we promised before, we’re back with our popular post here at Flowerdaily : the wedding church décor!

The front and side look of the main altar flower arrangements. The theme is actually multicolor but a bit tends to ‘pink - magenta - red’ as requested by some couples while the other wanna ‘blue’ color, so Margriet Team decided to hang blue ribbon instead. It’s quite difficult to find blue hydrangea in the local market recently… don’t know why…, while the imported ones definitely cost lots. So, if the overall look of the altar looked contrast, please be understood.

The flowers used for this theme are Lilies sorbone, gerberas, hydrangeas, daisies, chrysant of Samrock, gypsophila and some roses of Queen Mary, Avalance, Belavitae, Universe. We also used red celocia, a beautiful garden-flowers which we rarely use. Thanks to Mrs. Melani & Liany who found it in the local market a day before.

Here’s the row of chairs' decor looked from the back side  …. So bright, right?

And… a Unity candle flower arrangement made by yours truly!
There will be one post on this flower arrangement, so wait for our next post! Keep on checking….

Marriage at The Salib Suci Church

On April 6th, 2013 I went to the ‘Salib Suci’ church to attend my friend’s son of marriage there. The church is located on 25 Kemuning street, so it’s also popular in Bandung as the church of ‘Kemuning’. And while I was there, I had the opportunity to look around the church decor. And here's the overview report. Let's have a look ...

This is the tower of 'Salib Suci' church. The building belongs to the ancient church and it's quite well maintained.

Wedding Decor: The Twins at the Altar

Though we're still in the second week of the Lenten season and there won't be any marriage till the next fortnight, but there's no problem if we post a wedding church decor today, isn't it? We chose this decor since it's rather unique. All the pictures were taken on January 28, 2011.

For today's wedding church decor, instead of the usual long centerpiece in front of the main altar, the centerpiece consists of two flower arrangements put side by side, each arrangement shaped like..uhmm...try to imagine Hercule Poirot's mustache divided into two parts... hahaha.

Close-up details of the flower arrangements in front of the main altar and the psalmist altar. For this wedding church decor we used lilies, anthurium, gerberas, roses, chrysant, baby's breath, a bit of white orchids for wedding chairs, and the foliage is monstera, phylodendron, cordyline, sprengeri and leather leaf.

Flower today: Cabbage Flower

Guess what kind of flower this is?

Yep, it's cabbage flower. It's similar to the cabbage that we usually use to make clear vegetable soup, isn't it? Unless this one is more cute. Actually I first know this kind of flower last year, but I forgot to take the picture, so when last Christmas Mrs. Helena used cabbage flowers to decorate the altar in St. Peter Cathedral I didn't want to waste this opportunity to take some pictures, so here goes the pictures ...

Decoration of the altar. We can see the whole view from the front.

Decoration of the right side of the altar, where the psalmist reads the Bible.

Decoration of the angels, behind altar and beside the tabernacle.
