Purple Pink Elegant Wedding Church Décor (Part 1)

Back to our favourite wedding church décor post. This time it’s special for us, since it’s a wedding décor for one of our Margriet friends. Her lovely daughter, Thata, got married so most of Margriet team worked hard to help her decorate the church.

The color pallete for this décor is purple, fuschia, soft pink, green and white

Around 20 standing flowers arrangements for the aisle had to be made, not to mention the unity candle arrangement placed beside the altar, the cross, bible & rosary tray and the usual flowers arrangements made inside the church such as the one in front of the altar, the psalmist table, Mary & Jesus statues and some small arrangements ie. 7 candle stand, bouquet & candle offerings to Mary, table centerpiece for the guest etc. so Margriet team worked continuously for 2 days…..

Here’s the close up look on the flower arrangements in front of the altar. For this, we use lilies Stargazer & Alur, roses of Esperance, Dolce, Queen Mary, Universe, purple fiji, pink gerbera, pink snapdragon, baby’s breath etc…. hmm quite a lot ya.

And here’s the standing flower arrangements along the church aisle … so colorful and all around full of flowers. Gorgeous, right?

To be continued in part 2

Pink-Fuschia Theme Wedding Church Décor (2)

Hi guys, here’s another wedding flower décor in Pink-Fushia theme. Some of you might say,’ again?’ and then muttered. Wait ... don't hastily be disappointed, guys, as this time Team Margriet used 3 different colors of lilies namely Sorbonne, Stargazer and Casa Blanca. The color gradation looks nice though not distinctly seen in far distance. However, it looks different than the usual of course and could be your consideration choose the wedding theme. Check it out.

The Rosary & Bible tray and the ring pillow.

By the way, the existence of the two candles on the tray were kinda weird because if it's meant as unity candle, it's supposed consists of one big and two small candles. More over, unity candle is usually lit when the marriage ceremony took place at mid, so it should be carefully prepared and placed separately, far from the objects flammable such as wrapping paper, ribbon etc. Should not use flammable material like wooden or bamboo for the unity candle container unless for decorative necessity only, just like the one above.

Anyway, the design of the ring pillow is cute and romantic, not to mention the doggy on it, really adorable and so are the rosary and the shiny gold-plated letters, the initial name of the bride and groom I guess. Unfortunately, we don't know the designers of those beautiful items.

Pink-Fuschia Theme Wedding Church Decor

As we mentioned on our last post that pink is the favourite color for brides, now we are posting this ‘Pink-Fuschia’ theme wedding church décor. Don’t get bored with this color, guys since you’re going to see it more often in Cathedral St. Peter church for the next few weeks, he... So, relax and enjoy!!

As you can see on the image above, lots of pink flowers were used. They're placed  in the center, on the left side, on the right side, on above and below. In a glance you’ll know exactly that it’s a Pink Theme Wedding Church Décor as it’s put everywhere, but does it look too much pink? Of course not, even look gorgeous!! The gradation of the color's perfect. Right, guys?

The materials used are Sorbonne lilies, ‘Avalance, Aule and Universe’ roses, gerberas, snapdragon, ‘Shamrock’ chrysant, baby’s breath, philodendron, dracaena and pandhora leaves.

We usually make the same design for the chair and pew decoration, but not that time. The flower arrangement for the bride chair looked full and luxurious as it needed more roses than for the pew.

The Church of St. Peter Cathedral Bandung Is Being Repainted

Since the church of st. Peter Cathedral is still in the state of repainted, so from 17 Sept up to 17 Dec, it was decided not to hold a wedding ceremony on Monday – Thursday. The bride and groom are suggested to choose Fri – Sat – Sun if they’d like their wedding ceremony held inside the church because besides those three days, it will be held in the hall. Not only for the wedding ceremony, but the morning mass at 6 and 7 a.m and the first Friday take place in the hall as well. Sorry for the inconvenience.

The mass on Sat & Sunday just like the usual held inside the church with the same schedule (morning and evening)

This was the ambiance of the Sunday morning mass on Sept 22nd, 2012 at the Cathedral church. The coordinator of the re-painted church put black cloth along the sacristy as background to cover a row of bamboo attached to the wall behind the altar so that it looks a bit tidy during the mass lasts.

The Bible table actually looks more stand out on black background. The materials used are Lily oriental stargazer, roses of Avalanche, roses of Belavitae, spray white carnation, chrysant Euro, baby’s breath, dracaena and philodendron.

Wedding Church Décor: Tropical Pink

It’s a tropical pink wedding décor’s time. Look at the lilies oriental 'Sorbone'. The pink color is so nice and soft. The pink flecked on white color make the lilies sorbone look bright and stand out among the white and green color that surrounds them. Look gorgeous, aren’t they?

When the flower arrangement was put in front of the altar (image above), and when was still not finished yet and the room where we were working was a little bit messy (image below). The materials used are lilies oriental Sorbone, roses Avalanche, roses ‘Dolce’, roses ‘Universe’, Fiji (a kind of chrysanthemum), and hydrangea while the foliage is philodendron, florida beauty, sprengeri, ruscus and leather leaves.

The chairs and pew decoration viewed from some angles. The flowers used only pink gerberas, soft-pink spray carnations, fiji and Kermit. The foliage used was schefflera and the ming fern.

Wedding Church Décor: A White and Pink Theme

We’re baaack!!! As promised, here’s another wedding flower décor done in white-pink theme. These one's a bit posh and certainly more expensive. You might remember the flower arrangements pictured above from my last post. Yes, this is how their up close look with a white tulle ribbon added underneath. A total of 20 flowers stands were lining on the church aisle that day (11-11-2011). As you can see we used quite a number of flower types such as lily Sorbone, Universe roses, Belavitae roses, Avalance roses, spray carnation, hydrangea, chrysants, local baby's breath, ruscus and ivy.

From the church’s entrance, here are how all the flowers stands look like lining up on the church aisle all the way to the bridal chair (see picture below). Yes, lots of flowers really brighten up the aisle and not to mention exuding lots of sweet scent from the flowers. But don’t forget these flower arrangements cost more than usual, hee..hee..

If you turn around, this is how the row of the flower arrangements look like from the front aisle. And the picture below showed how all of the flower arrangements look from upfront. More than usual, since there were 2 air conditioners put inside the church that day, we made extra two flower arrangements in front of them.

As you can see, here’s a more close up view of the front and side part of the flower arrangements in front of the main altar. Just look at those imported baby's breath hanging down beautifully.

Now the flower arrangement number 2 is the one in front of the Jesus statue, the mirrored version with the one in front of the Mary statue. These cute flower arrangements are in triangle form, with white snapdragon on top and amaranthus hanging underneath.  Look at the pictures below them to see a more close up detail on the flower arrangements and the other one at the seven fingers candelabra.

The flower arrangement number 5, is the one which attached to the wedding chairs also use more various flowers than the usual. It almost looked like a hand bouquet, right? Personally, I really love the colour combination. For this arrangement, we used anthurium, Sorbone lilies, Universe roses, Belavitae roses, Avalance roses, snapdragon, spray carnation, leather leaf, ruscus.
And the pictures below are the detail of the flower arrangements in front of the air conditioners and the psalmist altar… Lovely.
So, what do you think? We really hope this can be another inspiration for you who wants a white and pink theme wedding. For another colour theme, we'll post another time, real soon.

Wedding Decor This Week : Simple hot pink

At noon after the last mass on January 8th, there was a wedding ceremony in St. Peter Cathedral.

This one is another inspiration for your church wedding flowers, in hot pink theme. So if you love pinky, you can consider this one for your wedding. Seen from the front, as usual there's one floral arrangement in front of the altar as a long big centerpiece, 2 on both sides, one in front of the psalmist and the others attached to the chairs (2 for the bride n groom chairs, each 4 on the right n left of the visitors' chairs).

Up close on the centerpiece, mostly roses were used with no small flowers protruding on top but a few carnations hanging at the bottom. To break the monotony, lots of light green spiders were used as filler in between white and pink colors. The foliage used was philodendron, monstera, ruscus and song of India.

The floral arrangement in front of the psalmist's altar (left picture) boasted the hortensia as the
main focal point. The flowers used were quite the same as in the centerpiece except that the green spider was changed to baloon flower and white chrysant. While the ones attached to the chairs used 3 pink gerberas as focal points. This makes the arrangements look fuller and you can see the lovely colour gradation from the up close gerberas. Besides pink gerbera, they used chrysant, puma and kermit.

And these are how the floral arrangements placed as the background look. Hortensia, white chrisants, green spider, fuhsia fiji, pink spray carnation were used to form triangle shape.

some of the flowers used..... very fresh and look gorgeous

In general the combination of the colour is nice, and for those who like simplicity and symmetrical shape, this would suit you.
